About Pottery Folk

Pottery Folk is a clay based community brought to you by Rob Towler classes hosted at the Artery Studios, Worcester.

The mission of Pottery Folk is to bring access to clay to those looking to try something creative and explore the wonder of ceramics.

About your Tutor, Rob.

Rob’s taste of the ceramics world was when he attended a one off taster session at the Bermondsey biscuit factory in South London, wanting to find a hobby away from working in the hospitality industry. This one lesson sparked an interest in ceramics that he pursued all the way to the doors of Central Saint Martins, where he achieved a first class honours degree in Ceramic Design. 

During his time at university he began working at The Kiln Rooms in Peckham, firstly on their Work Exchange Programme where he was given a studio space in exchange for weekly shifts. Later progressing into teaching. 

In 2023 Rob made the move to Worcester, a city with a rich ceramic history as the home of Royal Worcester to work as the studio manager of a shared ceramic makers space.
